Rats eat on average 100g a night.
Mice eat 10 gramms a night.

When you bait a house it is important to put adequate supplies of bait to the size of the pest infestation and placement of the baits is critical.

In Autmun and early winter rodents venture inside houses to nest.

Escavating,land development in adjoining blocks will disturb rodent nesting and push them into houses to live and nest.

Living next to a paddock increases the likelyhood of  getting rodents in the house.

Chicken houses,bird cages,horse feed storage, or general pet food around the house attracts rodents into your house.

There are only two main species of rat in Australia.The roof rat and the swamp rat.

Mice can gestate every 14 days with upto 12 per litter.

Rats can gestate every month with upto 12 per litter.

Treatments:

Baiting is the best and most effective control over rodents. Most baits commercially used are anti-coagulant. Meaning they stop the blood from clotting, and the rodent dies of internal bleeding over a 4-10 day period, (vitamin k deficiency). The baits are designed to dehydrate the rodent, thus the rodent goes outside looking for water and dies. Unfortunately this only happens 50or more of the time. Rats are clever animals and are very cautious about changes in there environment, if there is adequate food source, rats might not eat baits placed. So a rotation of bait types and brands and isolating alternative food sources is the key for success.Mice are very easy to eradicate and not as smart as a rats.Success is much faster.


We place  5 x20 gramms blocks every 3m/2 in a roof void and sub-floor, and any other places required internally i.e. kitchen,behind ovens,split level roof areas.

Once eradication is achieved,locating the entry point into the house takes experience, once found by our technician sealing off details will be provided.This completed by the client 10 14 days after treatment.
