Depending on the shire you live in, most shires have compulsory termite preventative treatments as a part of your building works (check with shire or building surveyor). Sub Floor: If your stumps have a clearance of above 400mm and are fitted with ant caps, you do not require a termite treatment.If the stumps are below 400mm and with ant caps you will require a termite treatment. Concrete Slab: All penetrations through the plastic membrane are required to have termite protection.All plumbing pipes have to be fitted with termite (shields or collars) Extensions with no penetrations will require the construction joint to be sprayed.
